Program areas at Created Women

Safe housing programs anchorthe anchor program is a therapeutic housing and recovery program that offers comprehensive support for individuals as they seek healing and restoration from their past. Women typically are in the anchor program for 3-6 months. Through a combination of therapy sessions, outpatient drug treatment, workbook activities, life skills classes, and spiritual guidance, participants embark on a journey of healing and personal growth. (continued on schedule o)attendance at church, recovery meetings, sponsorship through na/aa, and completing Created academy (a program where participants acquire computer skills, work essentials, and financial literacy), provide essential community, support, and tools for anchor residents' healing, recovery, and work readiness.sanctuarythe sanctuary program offers a transformative journey spanning 1-2 years, designed to offer continued support to individuals in their recovery and holistic development in preparation for independent living. Residents attend sponsor meetings, lead devotionals, and actively participate in group sessions and classes focused on life skills, healing, and personal growth. Through ongoing support from mentors, therapy, and other community partners, residents acquire essential coping skills, spiritual development, and vocational training. The program also provides comprehensive medical, dental, and mental health treatment, as well as legal support/intervention to address outstanding legal issues. Weekly one-on-one case management meetings help keep residents accountable to their goals and check-ins with the care team offer additional support and guidance. While at the sanctuary, the Women secure full-time employment, learn to manage their finances, and prepare for permanent housing.
Emergency housing the emergency housing program provides immediate support during crises and offers accommodation for 3-10 days while assessing individual needs and developing personalized care plans. Upon arrival, residents meet with a therapeutic support therapist to address immediate concerns and begin the healing process. Assistance is provided in obtaining essential documents such as id, birth certificates, and ssn cards, along with guidance in applying for food stamps and health insurance. (continued on schedule o)medical and dental appointments are facilitated to address any urgent healthcare needs. If additional support is required beyond the program's scope, referrals to appropriate resources are made, ensuring that individuals receive the comprehensive assistance they need during times of crisis.
Wrap around services to raise awareness in the community, build trust with potential residents, and get the word out that there is help available, Created has a variety of outreach programs that are orchestrated through the support and dedication of Created's staff, volunteers, and community partners. We have strip club outreach, street outreach, and jail outreach where we hope to close the gap between Created and Women who might need help. (continued on schedule o)we do this by bringing gifts, sharing information about our drop-in center and its services, and offering prayer. Created's drop-in center, located in proximity to much of tampa's prostitution and trafficking, functions as a boutique for the Women we serve. We aim to welcome them with god's love and provide them with needed resources, offer classes, case management, and information about Created's therapeutic housing and recovery program.
Created place: Created place is a refuge for Women who have been sexually exploited. There are 2 buildings on our main property. During 2023, the main building was used to house our drop-in center and sta oces. Our sta includes a program team and an admin team that oversees operations. Our team has a total of 15 positions in our organizational chart. The second building has two apartments used for independent housing for Women who have graduated from our residential program. In addition, this facility housed Created academy, our job training program, computer lab and community meeting place.
