Outdoor Adventure - As Denver Archbishop Samuel Aquila wrote, Creatio promotes activities in nature with young people as a way to help them encounter Jesus, who so often withdrew himself into the wilderness and prayed (Luke 5:16). By bringing people into nature and allowing them to experience the beauty of creation, Creatio has been able to lead people to an interior transformation and communion that follows a renewal of self, the reception of identity, the healing power of silence, the gift of others in friendship, of communion itself. Todays young adults are flocking to the outdoors to escape the everyday grind, and they are interested in participating in personalized, curated experiences. From camping to pilgrimage; backpacking to hut trips, the Creatio experience is a welcoming and approachable invitationto younger generations, in particularto explore that inescapable desire for God that is written in ourhearts. Creatio has completed over 100 outdoor
Service to the Poor & Mission Trips - By developing deep & sustainable relationships with remote communities in need, Creatio leadsmission trips that honor both creation and the dignity of the human person. Creatio aims to bring people closer to seeing the face of Christ - thereby reconciling themselves to one another and to the Creator - as well as showing those who we serve that they are greatly loved. Throughout Creatios history, we have completed over 40 mission trips across 7 different countries. Our projects include working alongside locals to provide housing, water, and community spaces; helping with relief efforts, providing spiritual and catechetical classes; and many others. Creatio currently operates Mission Trips in Costa Rica.
Environmental Stewardship - As Pope Francis explains in the Laudato si, Concern for the environment thus needs to be joined to a sincere love for our fellow human beings and an unwavering commitment to resolving the problems of society. Creatio believes that in reconciling human beings with nature, we will grow closer to solving the many cultural, spiritual, and educational challenges around us. Creatios environmental projects include educating local communities on environmental best practices and hosting opportunities to implement best practices. Our missionaries are trained as professional guides and have extensive experience leading adventure trips, facilitating experiential education, and directing the programming component of our courses.
