Creede Repertory Theatre (CRT)

Creede Repertory Theatre (crt) is a cultural home for artists, residents, and visitors of the west. Crt is committed to producing an annual Repertory season comprised of the best of contemporary and classic Theatre from may through september; providing equitable access to arts education for students in rural and remote communities; and developing new theatrical works through the headwaters new play program. Crt is the largest employer in mineral county and a major component of its economy. Crt performances and educational opportunities are made accessible to the public through free programming to Creede children and discounts for residents of the san luis valley. Crt's education programs include free friday day camps; an in-school residency; the young audience outreach tour, an original bilingual musical which impacts over 32,000 students across the southwestern united states each year; kid show, a professional mentorship program; summer camps; and community outreach efforts.
