Program areas at Crisis Center of Central New Hampshire

We provide direct services to victims/survivors of domestic and sexual violence, stalking, child and elder abuse. Our shelter can house victims and their children. We have a hotline that runs 24 hours a day and 365 days a year which is answered by trained volunteers and staff. An advocate responds to the hospital if someone presents as a victim/survivor and assists them with restraining/stalking orders, attending hearings, attending criminal trials, and attending civil hearings related to divorce, child custody and parenting plans. Advocates also provide support to victims and their families at the Merrimack County Advocacy Center and police departments. Advocates run support groups for victims and provide/coordinate education for victims on life skills including healthy relationships, financial management and nutrition. Advocates work with victims that have mental health and/or substance abuse issues and connect them with counselors, physicians and licensed drug and alcohol counselors. Many of the victims that advocates work with are not financially independent. Continued on Sch.O
