Crossing Bridges Therapeutic Riding Center

The Center provides Therapeutic Riding activities to students in a safe atmosphere where they learn appropriate social skills and how to connect with animals. The students learn about consequences, how to make good choices, and are given opportunities to use fine and gross motor skills, practice eye hand coordination and left/right discrimination. Providing care for the horses teaches them patience, responsibility and respect. The Center provides these Therapeutic lessons to 100 students per week (with 20-25 on a wait list). Over one half of the students receive full or partial scholarships made possible by grants and contributions received from donors.
