Program areas at Crossing Rivers Health Foundation
The Crossing Rivers Health Foundation hosted the 12th Annual Golf Classic on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at the Prairie du Chien Country Club.Proceeds from the 2023 Golf Classic supported the replacement of three EKG (electrocardiogram) machines used throughout Crossing Rivers Health. The eight-year-old EKG machines became obsolete and were replaced with the most current technology available. EKGs record the electrical signal from the heart to check for a variety of heart conditions. Uses range from post-Covid heart checks on adolescent athletes in the primary care clinic, to cardiac stress testing to measure the heart's ability to respond to external stress in a controlled, clinical environment, and to identify or rule out a cardiac event in our Emergency department. The Foundation completed the History Wall project and unveiled the display at an event held on July 8, 2023. This project, which was planned and completed over multiples years, was mostly donor supported and volunteer committee led.
