Program areas at Crosswinds Counseling and Wellness

Children's services - children, adolescents and their families can receive an array of services through outpatient services. These services include individual, family, group therapy, and psychological testing. In addition, educational workshops are offered on parenting, coping with divorce, and step-parenting. Community based children's services are available to children and adolescents who are severely emotionally disturbed, and they may receive more intensive services to assist them in remaining in their home community. These services include case management, crisis case management, home-based family therapy, psychosocial group, attendant care, wraparound facilitation, independent living, and parent support. These services are provided by staff that have specialized training for intervening therapeutically with the unique challenges of this age group.
Medication clinic - our team of psychiatrists and nurses are available to evaluate and prescribe medications for certain clients, working closely with our psychotherapists and case managers to provide the most effective treatment for them. Additionally, injections are available as ordered by prescriber at our clinic. Some pharmaceutical companies have indigent patient programs that offer prescriptions at no cost to those clients under a certain income.
Community support services - adults who are severely and persistently mentally ill can receive case management, group therapy, and/or out patient therapy, based on their needs. Psychosocial groups offer participants opportunities to strengthen self-management skills, and our supported employment specialist assists client in finding and retaining regular employment.
Emergency services - individuals in crisis situations have access to our 24-hour psychiatric emergency services. These include screening and assessment, crisis intervention, crisis case management, advocacy, education and referral to appropriate resource or hospitalization.
