Program areas at Cultivando

Salud emocional: a space created to emphasize the importance of mental health and quality of life in support of leadership. To help participants learn about emotional self regulation, stress reduction. We host field experts to offer presentations on topics/issues and provide key skills. Ffn academy: part of the umbrella of early learning: support parents/caregivers in their role of supporting the education and development of children at home. Skill development (i.e., first aid), sharing resources (i.e., special needs children), key information (i.e., vaccination needs and timeline). Home visits: part of the umbrella of early learning: support parents/caregivers in their role of supporting the education of children at home. Promotora tranings: Cultivando provides training and technical assistance to agencies and organizations that are committed to working with the latinx community in more meaningful and equitable ways. We can identify potential barriers and make recommendations for increasing latinx participation and making organizations more accessible and relevant to our community. Cultivando is skilled at doing community outreach to engage the spanish-speaking, latinx community and is also experienced in facilitating focus groups and administering surveys. We offer racial justice and healing workshops that cover topics ranging from bias to systemic racism and self-care.
Fortaleza familiar: fortaleza familiar is dedicated to the wellness of indigenous chicanx latinx lesbian gay bi queer trans two-spirit young people and their families in Colorado. Education and support services for lgbtq+ youth and their families through on-going workshops, and mental health suppport.
A.i.r.e: Cultivando has been engaging community members to learn about how environmental justice is relevant to their lives, and the dangerous toxics released into our community by the suncor oil refinery. Cultivando successfully completed the first independent, community-led air monitoring project in the affected areas of commerce city and northern denver (globeville, elyria and swansea). Cultivando continues to provide spaces and opportunities for community leaders to continue advocating against suncor through their stories to demand accountability. Through our environmental justice programming, we will continue to unite our community to demand change.
