New - 'entrepreneurship program' conducted 12 small business training sessions twice for two separate groups of twelve (12) & ten (10) participants
Job development & self-sufficiency programs - assisted 66 clients with resume creation, job searches, and job applications. Provided self-sufficiency assistance & referrals for 192 individuals for food, clothing, & transportation in partnership with multicultura alliance community partners.
Multi-ethnic leadership & community development - provided organizational capacity-builidng & nonprofit training sessions to multicultural alliance (ma) members from four (4) ethnic-based 'black, indigeous and people of color' (bipoc) nonprofits. Collaboration on several programs/service: (1) provided financial support and supervision for four part-time americorps members, from 'strengthen nd' nonprofit,to provide direct services to low-income bipoc communities, (2) distributed 100 face masks and covid test kids, (3) served as fiscal agent for baraza la afrika nonprofit on two projects funded by nd refugee department, (3) collaborated with bipoc nonprofits and conducted six weeks of summer youth activities for 25 youth, (4) organized assets-mapping and presentations to inform and educate five bipoc community partners on current community programs and Resources to assist low-income population, (5) partnered with west central iniative community foundation to foster community engagement for ten participants. 6)financial literacy: conducted financial literacy classes for 22 clients.
Cultural Diversity Resources (cdr) was approved as an americorps vista sponsor for an antipoverty project. Serves as an intermediary organizatons in capacity-building for multicultural alliance (ma) of five ethnic-based nonprofits to be more efficient & productive with assistance of four americorps vista members in 2023. Recruited and supervised three summer associates and one americorp member from 'strengthen north dakota' nonprofit to provide direct services to low-income communities in cass county, nd & clay county, mn.diversity training - conducted 'seeking educational & equity (seed) trainings for two groups school teachers (27). Conducted seed summit workshop on housing issues for 32 attendees. Video presentation on asian asmerican culture for moorhead school distrcit staff.pangea cultivate our cultures event - more than 1,018 attendees at annual Cultural event with multicultural dances, ethnic foods & crafts and exhibits. Organized 'welcoming week' for immigrants event with 32 attendees.
