Food distribution: the organization distributes approximately 1.5 million pounds of food across brevard county each year, through partnerships with over 25 local food pantries. Daily Bread partners with the us postal service and boy scouts providing coordination and logistics for their respective food drives.
Daily Bread meal program: Daily Bread serves a hot, well balanced meal 7 days a week. In 2023 49,920 meals were served .
Outreach/fresh start program: Daily Bread provides individuals the opportunity to shower, receive clean clothing and other hygiene needs. In 2023 Daily Bread faciliated an average of 268 showers a week, a 9% increase over 2022. In addition, Daily Bread assists homeless individuals with access to medical care, partnering with brevard health alliance and needed prescriptions, partnering with a local pharmacy. With a focus on housing, Daily Bread assists individuals to obtain the necessary documents (i.d, birth certificate) required to apply for employment/housing. Daily Bread works closely with the brevard homeless coalition, ensuring the needs of homeless individuals within our community are addressed.
Providence place - the organization is planning for the construction and operations of a 120-unit permanent supportive housing community, which is scheduled to open by the end of 2026. This new community will include wrap-around services to help residents overcome barriers and successfully transition out of homelessness.
