Academics - Dallas International University offers undergraduate and graduate degrees that train students to work with minority language cultures in the areas of linguistics, translation, ethnoarts, and cross-cultural service. We offer a ba with a major in International service or in scripture and culture; an ma with a choice of six majors: abrahamic studies, applied linguistics, human migration, language and culture studies, translation advising, and world arts; a phd in world arts. Graduates of all programs are in high demand by non-profit sending organizations.
Student services - the Dallas International University (diu) library collection contains over 61,000 items. Many of the resources concentrate on linguistics and applied linguistics, minority languages, literacy, translation studies, biblical studies, anthropology and ethnology, sociolinguistics, crosscultural training, world arts, and area studies. In addition to books and journals, there are several thousand collected articles as well as several primary linguistic, anthropological, religious, cultural, and educational indexes that may be accessed at the library. The Dallas International University library boasts a trove of print resources, as well as offering access to an extensive collection of digital resources, including databases, indexes, e-books and journals.
