Since 1972, Dallas Safari Club has been the gathering point for hunters, conservationists and wildlife enthusiasts. An international organization, we offer members a world of options: Annual conventions and expositions, Annual sporting clay events, Monthly meetings and other member activities, World class publications and a Grant in aid program that contributes millions of dollars each year to programs and projects promoting our mission to conserve wildlife and wilderness lands, to educate youth and the general public and to promote and protect the rights and interests of hunters worldwide.

Program areas at DSC

The organization publishes the following publications solely for the organization's membership: game trails magazine which is published quarterly and the organization's online newsletter.
Program services for members including monthly meetings, guest speakers, competition events and open houses.
The organization provides grants to further its mission of wildlife conservation, education and hunter advocacy. Approximately 44% of the grants go toward conservation, 36% for education and 20% for hunter advocacy. About two third of the grants support projects beyond Texas borders. Examples include conservation initiatives for lions, elephants, giraffes, and leopards, developing conservation strategies in canada, and advocating for hunter interests in Washington d.c. The remainder of the grants support Texas initiatives such as desert bighorn sheep restoration, quail habitat improvements, mule deer research and expanding conservation curriculum.
