Program areas at DTC
Empower: Dancing Through the Curriculum offered monthly girls nights for current members and community members. These nights were set to encourage relationship building and personal growth. The specific focus of each night included one or more of the following: painting girl empowerment sessions w guest speakers skin care workshops book studies and STEAM nights. Over 50 girls in Middle Tennessee participated in the sessions.
Educate: Virtual tutoring was offered to current families and community members. In addition our homeschool program offered options for homeschool students to participate in creative movement book studies and dance classes during the day.
Expose: Dancing Through the Curriculum opened up a dance studio in Murfeesboro TN. Approximately 143 girls between the ages of 2 to 15 in Murfreesboro and surrounding areas participated in dance lessons. Dance lessons were taught by highly experienced dance artists in Tennessee. Due to COVID-19 requirements and space limitation dance classes were limited to 10 students per class. Private 1:1 sessions were also offered in addition to dance camps clinics and workshops.
