National complex trauma training and resource disseminationimplementation of the complex trauma training consortium grant, a samhsa national child traumatic stress network (nctsn) category ii grant. The Foundation Trust designed & oversees this project and is the largest subaward recipient of this grant 5-year grant (2021-2026) awarded to adelphi university to establish a national network of 200+ complex trauma trainers across 60 field sites (all us states & territories, dc, & the 4 largest metropolitan regions). In 2022, cttc's 20-module, 40-hour trainer-training curriculum was developed reviewed, revised, and finalized. Initial cohort of 15 field sites began the trainer training process. Cohort 1 comprised of 67 trainers-in-training across 13 statewide field sites, 2 metropolitan area field sites (chicago and los angeles) and four freestanding trainers. This project represents the largest operations activity of the Foundation Trust in 2022.
Complex trauma scholarly research, resource development, publication & disseminationi. Clinical research on complex trauma: peer-review journal publication and widespread online dissemination of 6 clinically and policy-relevant research studies on complex traumatic stressii. Resource guide development & dissmeination: completed development of "parenting in the wake of trauma", a psychoeducational resource guide for parents struggling with balancing effective parenting with their own unresolved histories of childhood trauma. Online dissemination to over 2,000 individuals worldwide in 2022.iii. Psychoeducational training & outreach: launce of the Foundation Trust speaker series for multidisciplinary providers and consumers. Three in-person presentations delivered to the greater boston community in 2022: complexity of racial trauma (may), healing power of art (june), & parenting in the wake of trauma (september).
Maintenance and continued content development for complextrauma.org, complextrauma.org is a comprehensive information and resource website developed and maintained by the Foundation Trust. This psychoeducational resource website was developed for mental consumers, trauma survivors, providers, educators, family members, loved ones and multidisciplinary providers. It focuses on the causes, effects, and intervention responses to complex developmental trauma, maltreatment, violence, exploitation and neglect. This website serves as the resource hub for the Foundation Trust's national and international and knowledge dissemation efforts.the complextrauma.org resource website had 91,065 visitors in 2022, including 62,131 visitors from across the united states and 91,065 total from 195 countries worldwide. In addition to 196,022 page views in 2022, there were 10,067 downloads of psychoeducational articles and other print resources and 5,120 views of psychoeducational videos.
