Program areas at Dare2tri Paratriathlon Club
The organization runs year round programming, training, practices and clinics in swimming, cycling, running/pushing, strength training and yoga at various locations including virtually. Additionally, the organization provides full support for athletes to participate in local races. The organization maintains a fleet of adaptive sports equipment for athletes to use in trainings, camps, and races.
The organization offers a grant assistance fund to allow athletes to increase their ability to achieve their athletic goals by eliminating the barriers of high-priced equipment, prosthetics, travel, coaching, and race entry fees.
The organization offers a variety of multi-day experiences for athletes of all ages and abilities including the following events: learn2tri camp is a three-day camp open to athletes ages 16 and up of all experience levels and takes place in Wisconsin. The camp includes two full days of clinics in swimming, cycling/handcycling, running/pushing, transition, nutrition, equipment maintenance and much more, culminating with the tri it triathlon on the final day. Injured military training camp is open to any injured military or veteran with a physical disability, visual impairment, traumatic brain injury, or ptsd. Instruction and clinics are given in swimming, cycling, running/wheelchair pushing, and transition. The camp culminates with leons triathlon, a usat-sanctioned race where participants race alongside their able-bodied peers. Train2race camp is a three-day camp held in Wisconsin which is geared towards experienced paratriathletes who want to take their racing skills to the next level. In addition to Paratriathlon training, participants learn race preparation, strategy, and techniques. At the conclusion of camp, athletes participate in the pleasant prairie triathlon. Kids Paratriathlon training camp is a two-day camp hosted annually in july in chicago, Illinois open to youth ages 6 through 21 with a physical disability or visual impairment. Camp clinics include open water swimming, cycling, running/pushing, transition, nutrition and more.
