Program areas at Daughters of the American Revolution - Colorado Daughters of the American Revolution

The Colorado State Society NSDAR promotes information exchange and provides guidance to our members regarding the mission of the Society via three board of management meetings and our annual state conference each year. Workshops for members and reports by Chairs and Chapter Regents are given at these meetings to provide highlights of the work of the Society in the community and to provide future guidance and ideas to meet the Society's mission. Our Junior Shoppe net sales are forwarded to the National Society to benefit the Helen Pouch Memorial Fund. This fund provides scholarships, medical aid, and general financial assistance to two DAR supported schools.
The members of the State Society support historic preservation through donations towards restoration of DAR markers such as those on the Santa Fe Trail and restoration of our National Society DAR Constitution Hall in Washington DC.
The Colorado State Society NSDAR provides scholarships and medals to recipients in the community, most prominently throughout the local school system. Member donations have gone to support various 501c3 organizations that support veterans or those currently serving in the military. The State Society also supports scholarships which are awarded to students who are United States Citizens attending an accredited college or university.
The Colorado State Society NSDAR promotes patriotism via activities with Veterans and Naturalization Ceremonies. Donations from our members go toward providing annual monetary support to various VA hospitals around the state to benefit veteran services.
