Daughters of the American Revolution - Rainier DAR was granted national charter #155 by the National Society of the Daughters of the Revolution in 1895. Their mission involves supporting patriotism, education, and historic preservation. Education - Rainier Chapter awarded 4 High School seniors college scholarships. Over $500 was donated to DAR supported schools, and members donated money and a graduation stole.
Patriotism - The chapter participates in annual parades, wreath laying ceremonies, and volunteering at the USO. The members delivered stuffed Christmas stockings and blankets to veterans for Christmas. We also presented the Youth Citizenship Award to a Scout for his senior project.
Member Activities - Planted two trees for Arbor Day, attended the Sea Scout ceremony and gave a medal and monetary gift.
