The mhc (max higbee center) started as a drop off center geared towards the needs of teenagers and young adults with developmental disabilities and continues to provide those services and more. Mhc's core mission is right in line with one of the Meyerson Foundation's main goals revolving around family support. Over the years the David & Minnie Meyerson Foundation has focused on filling mhc's gaps in funding for hardware (ipad's & tablets), art supplies, employee retention and helping to cover the increased costs of rent and utilities as the center has grown. Mhc provides many services to the disability community of bellingham, wa that would otherwise not be available.
