David Labkovski Project advances knowledge of the Holocaust and the world through the art of David Labkovski. It offers a student docent training program where students learn about the Holocaust from his art and become empowered to educate others, curator exhibits, and create content. Pressman Academy hosts an eight-week multi-generational program that includes teacher and student docent training, an exhibit, and lectures for students, teachers, parents, and grandparents.

Program areas at David Labkovski Project

Multi-generational college and adult program interactive workshops, lectures and art exhibits taking place over 1 day to 10 weeks at different locations. Student docents from the training program guided adults as they experienced the artwork. Programs reached over 1500 people.
Student docent training program a virtual program for students to 1 learn about the holocaust through the art of David Labkovski and to 2 become empowered to educate their peers and community by being docents at art exhibits they have curated and by making presentations at schools and synagogues. For students grades 8-12 plus an alumni event for past participants. 60 students.
Middle and high school educational program art and learning project-based educational programs teaching students about the holocaust through the art of David Labkovski. Program duration ranged from a full day session to a series of several classes over a five month period. Students prepare to become docents as they curate exhibitions to share with the school community. Over 300 students participated actively in the programs while nearly 4000 students were exposed to the exhibits.
