Usda food and nutrition service child and adult Care food program section 17 of the national school lunch act, as amended, title 42, chapter 13a, usc. Nutrition education is provided to Day Care home providers and Day Care center providers. Nutritous meals for children in the form of financial reimbursement are provided to homes and centers sponsored by Day Care Resources, Inc. The average number of Day Care homes receiving program benefits for feeding nutritious meals to children for the year was 1,205 serving approximately 13,354 children. Average number of Day Care centers receiving benefits for the year was 137 serving approximately 17,752 children. Exempt program service achieved the feeding of 6,095,439 homes and 4,582,005 centers meals and snacks for the year. Nutrition education materials created by our dietition/nutritionist reached over 1,205 providers monthly.
