Program areas at Dayton Clinical Oncology Program

Dayton Clinical Oncology Program, incorporated in 1983, was designated one of the original national cancer institute (nci) grant-funded community Clinical Oncology programs. Its mission is to provide access to state-of-the-art nci Clinical trials to communities throughout Ohio and eastern Indiana. Membership within the nci network provides access to phase ii and phase iii trials for newly diagnosed as well as advanced cancer patients, with options for treatment, symptom management, cancer care delivery, and demographic trials. The collaboration between Dayton Clinical Oncology Program and its consortium members of eight hospitals, 48 physicians representing medical, surgical and radiation Oncology, and hospital-based Oncology research coordinators is what makes the Program successful and available for cancer patients.
