DC Peace Team cultivates the habits and skills of nonviolence in daily life through training in nonviolent skills, offering speakers for community training events, and facilitating restorative justice circles. They educate members of the community on active bystander intervention, nonviolent skills, anti-racism, and peace education. Additionally, DCPT provides unarmed civilian protection deployment and accompaniment as part of their nonviolent approach to protect civilians in situations of violence. Over 1000 people have been reached by this program.
