Decatur Arts Alliance primarily fulfills its mission by producing Arts events that are free and open to the public. The largest of these events is the Decatur Arts festival, attracting 60k attendees annually. Decatur Arts Alliance funds musical, literary, theatrical, dance, and comedy performances as well as a juried fine Arts exhibition. Revenue is raised from the 130 artists who rent booth space for the artists' market, artist application fees, souvenir and beverage sales, and event sponsors.
An annual grassroots musical event, oakhurst porchfest coordinates 200+ neighborhood porches and musical acts for a day of community celebration. Free and open to the public, revenue comes from souvenir sales and sponsorships. Decatur Arts Alliance provides security and sanitation to ensure public safety.
The Decatur wine festival is metro atlanta's largest outdoor wine festival. As the nonprofit's only dedicated fundraiser, revenue is generated primarily through ticket sales with additional revenue from souvenir sales and sponsorships. Attendees can sample 400+ varieties of wine, purchase food from acclaimed local restaurants, and dance to a live dj.
