Defending the Cause Regional Alliance

The Alliance unites local organizations to better serve at-vulnerable & families through collaboration. In 2023 they worked directly with 75 local agencies, nonprofits and churches plus 54 buisnesses. Their mission includes equipping individuals to care for vulnerable children and families and in 2023 they provided 2,102 hours of parent training, had 747 leaders and caregivers attend community workshops and 179 families and providers supporting 2,177 kids/teens attended their annual childhood trauma conferece. Through the Alliance Area Needs Database and donation drives, 17,138 items were donated to meet the needs of 3,720 local kids in need through 47 different agencies/nonprofits. The Alliance also furnished 21 safe spaces (either bedrooms or full apartments) for youth entering or aging out of foster care, refugee families or families in crisis.
