Delaware County Field and Stream Association

The organization's largest program is the operation of safe, well maintained and on occasion supervised ranges for the enjoyment of its members. Thc costs to maintain the ranges are the largest expense incurred by the organization. The actual operations of the ranges are supervised by volunteer members. Members can meet with others with similar interests at the ranges, in the clubhouse or at monthly meetings.

Some ranges require expenditures for supplies to provide services to members. Shotgun ranges use clay pidgeons that are destroyed during competition and/or practice. These costs are deferred by members using these facilitites by the imposition of fees for the use of those ranges.

The organization provides a venue for competition for its members. The various ranges organize competitions of various types open to members. This enables them to improve their skills and meet with others who share their interest. It is also practice for competition at the local, state and national levels. Members can assist each other as to how to improve their skills during these competitions.
