Description
Delaware Humanities Forum helps Delawareans reach a fuller understanding of the connections among people, cultures and ideas through project initiatives, grant making and educational outreach. It provides free lectures and discussions to non-profit organizations and schools within Delaware through its speakers bureau/visiting scholars program to support their Humanities programs. Additionally, it offers regular, mini, and opportunity grants to other non-profit organizations within Delaware to support their conduct of Humanities programs.

Program areas at Delaware Humanities Council

Grants - provide opportunity and action/innovation grants to nonprofits serving delawareans to support their Humanities based projects.
Prime time family reading - provide funding for and administration of family reading and discussion program in partnership with public libraries and other eligible nonprofit organizations serving populations with low literacy levels.
Speakers/visiting scholars - provide low to no cost lectures and discussions to organizations and schools in Delaware in order to support the education of their communities.
Community conversations - provide low cost facilitators to lead conversations on difficult topics with diverse perspectives in Delaware for organizations in order to support the exchange of ideas in their communities.
