Program areas at Delmarva Community Services
Residential and personal supports programs - the residential program provides housing and Services to developmentally disabled individuals in a Community setting. The personal supports program provides Services to developmentally disabled individuals that live in their own homes. The organization employs skilled staff to assist and supervise developmentally disabiled individuals based on their specific needs.
Community action - create opportunities for economically disadvantaged individuals and families and to reduce the impact of poverty through a variety of social service and Community programs.
Transportation program - provide Services to individuals for medical treatment, job placement, social Services, and day activities.
Respite/individual support Services - respite care is a necessary and vital service which supports families by providing them short-term relief from the constant and often stressful care they provide for their family member with a disability. Individual support Services are Services (other than residential and day) provided to individuals with developmental disabilities living with their families or on their own.
Day and supported employment programs - provide vocational training within the center, support for Community integration, and supervised job placement.
Senior programs - the organization operates 3 senior centers. The organization operates home delivered meals program, telephone reassurance, transportation, adult medical day care, respite care, a senior information and assistance office and a "one stop" office for information.
Other - miscellaneous program activities that support the organization.
