Program areas at Delta Dental of Kentucky Foundation
Delta Dental of Kentucky Foundation, Inc. ("Foundation") was organized to facilitate the charitable activities of Delta Dental of Kentucky, Inc. we believe that every Kentuckian has the right to a happy and healthy smile. The Foundation provides funds to other 501(c)(3) organizations, governments, academic institutions and other entities that are undertaking projects that support and improve the health of all kentuckians. Typically, 50 to 70 percent of grants are directed to Dental clinics or Dental education nonprofits in the state of Kentucky. The remaining 30 to 50 percent of annual giving is directed to Kentucky nonprofits supporting other causes important to kentuckians.
In 2023, additional funds were allocated to support kentuckians impacted by weather related events: the devastating tornadoes in western Kentucky in late december 2021 and the floods in eastern Kentucky. These funds were used to support those directly impacted by these tragic events.
