Program areas at Denver Police Law Enforcement Museum

The Museum is dedicated to actively creating community conversations where citizens can hear, see, feel, participate, understand, and appreciate the value of Police in our lives. Through hands-on learning and events, the Museum teaches youth and communities about career opportunities, criminal jusitice, history, and policing in our city. The Museum is dedicated to remembering, preserving, and understanding the history of the Denver Police department. Through our fallen officer project, the Museum shares the stories and honors the lives of those Denver Police officers who have died in the line of duty by commemerating their courage, dedication, and unwavering commitement to preserving our safety and our way of life.
In 2023 the Museum and our partners have hosted 13 full blown programs and 5 field trips, along with several visits to schools, impacting a total of 900 students. The Museum hopes to be a leader in youth education and crime prevention as well as a facilitator to improve community relations between our Police and the community, focusing on youth and families. In keeping with this goal, the Museum has developed and is continuing to develop, innovative programs to support trust-building, career exploration and youth violence prevention. The Museum is seeking to demonstrate how programs with positive officer and youth interactions can help to overcome fears and misconceptions about Police and promote goodwill and understanding.
