Program areas at Design Forward Alliance
DFA adopted the San Diego Design Week annual program in collaboration with the Mingei International Museum. This partnership allows DFA to further its mission and provides a platform for over 150 community-led events and activations.
DFA continued to develop and support the World Design Capital 2024 program along with its partners, UCSD, Burnham Center, City of San Diego and City of Tijuana.
DFA completed 4 quarterly Design Ambassador Summits to organize the Design Community and Design Leaders in preparation of World Design Capital 2024. The summits included human centered design workshops, community discussions and engagement, panel presentations from local design-driven projects from across San Diego County.
DFA engaged the community in several design-driven workshops as a subcontractor of Kounkuey Design Initiative and the City of San Diego around the Chollas Creek Masterplan and the City's Capital Improvement Prioritization Program.
We renewed our board leadership for 2024 and onboarded new board members for 2024.
