Provide winter Recreation 5 days a week beginning after thanksgiving thru march; nordic ski & bike trails accessible 7 days per week dawn to dusk;military discounts for active service members and their families;targeted programs school age children; lessons; host site for Detroit lakes high school nordic ski and alpine ski teams; host Minnesota high school alpine ski meets; ski angel program provides families with financial need to obtain passes, rentals & instructions at reduced cost; partner with local non-profits to provide access; free lessions for first time skiers and snowboarders
Open access for Detroit lakes community and cultural center programming for yoga on the Mountain and boot camp; women's Mountain bike skill development clinics, Mountain bike skill development clinics; open access for Minnesota high school cycling league; offer a natural play setting at no costs with rock and log interactive features that allow for curiosity and exploratory play for any age.
Offer 15 miles of biking and hiking trails open 7 days a week dawn to dusk mid may through october; ages 2 and up; open access for non-profit groups to particpate in badge achievment;open access for Detroit lakes high school cross country running practice; outdoor summer Recreation at no charge to pre-teen and teens attending Detroit lakes boys & girls club, teaching Mountain biking skills and proper nutrition for active living. Provide scholarship program that allows access to all activities the Mountain provides to at risk, underpriviledged and special needs children and families at low or no cost; hosts citizen Mountain bike race with Minnesota Mountain bike series and high school race with Minnesota high school cycling league each year; hosts international Mountain bike association's take a kid Mountain biking day providing free rentals;
