Program areas at Development District Association of Appalachia
Annual conference - the ddaa annual conference, held in partnership with the national Association of Development organizations with support from the appalachian regional commission, is an opportunity for local Development District staff and leadership to meet with peers, learn about key policy updates, and share best practices in community and economic Development.
Membership dues - ddaa's membership dues support local Development districts through a peer-to-peer program supporting travel to peers in Appalachia, a monthly newsletter, training, and the annual conference.
Technical assistance - ddaa delivers technical assistance and research support to members with support from the appalachian regional commission on projects including "building a recovery-to-work ecosystem and the "community capacity-building pilot program".
Training and education - ddaa offers trainings on topics including human resources, data visualization, grant writing, and workforce Development.
