Program areas at Development Homes
Group living arrangements for persons with developmental and other related disabilities: dhi managed and operated 7 group Homes for persons with developmental and physical disabilities. Of these, 3 are icf/idd Homes including one for children and 4 are dd waiver group Homes for adults. A total of 42 persons are served in group home setting.
Employment and community support services for persons with developmental and other related disabilities: the pre-vocational and employment programs helped 50 individuals find, attain, and keep paying jobs in the community. Job coaches supported persons to learn and perform work duties to meet the standards of the employer. Over 30 people were offered day habilitation services that tailored intervention levels to meet a full range of abilities enabling them to learn social skills and engage in a meaningful way in the community.
Supported living arrangements for persons with developmental and other related disabilities: 75 people received support to live more independently in their own apartments. Programs are offered based on the amount of supervision and support needed by the person served. The residential habilitation services are specifically designed to meet each person's need for assistance, and can provide 24 hours a day support. The independent habilitation program offers case management services and a minimal number of direct contact hours per week for those individuals who have achieved greater levels of functioning and independence.
Other program services includes: family support services for persons with developmental and other related disabilities: support and training to families and children was provided to a total of 30 families. Services are offered in the child's family home either with or without the parent or primary care giver present.
