DSI's Farmet to Farmer prug am helped herders and organizations to incrcasc productivity and profitability of Mongolian hordors by transferring readily employable businesss skills and livestock processing skills that yield rapid sustainable economic results Volunteers from Virginia and West Virginia shared their expertise on livestock, pasture land, and animal health management and engaged furmal auu moral waning on innovative livestock methods and technologies for government officials, university studonts cooperatives, and individual herders in the agricultural Sector
DSI worked with local governments to improve health staff capacity, provide health finance training, and strengthen the local government's capacity to manage the limited financial resources. DS! provided training to improve the capacity and productivity of focal health staff in three main areas: performance management, financial management, and organizational management
OSI worked to enhance the training tools available for primary school children from herder families in distant rural areas to ensure that these children have the same resources available as other children of Mongolia. The training tools and programs were built into DVDs and computer modules that contained specific assignments and instructions for children to work through inthe classroom. Similar modules were made available for parents to help their children athome
