The same principles also apply to Digital political Advertising. Daa allows licensed entities to use the Advertising option icon within or near online advertisements or on web pages or applications where interest based Advertising is occuring. The political ads icon is used near or in ads to provide transparency.

Conduct education outreach to consumers and businesses:the daa develops broad communications that educate consumers and businesses about political ads initiatives, online behavioral Advertising, and the principles.

Promote compliance with established Digital Advertising standards through enhanced consumer control:the principles require entities to provide consumers with control over the collection and use of web viewing and other similar data. To encourage this type of consumer choice, the corporation created the about ads consumer opt-out page and app choices where consumers can easily opt-out of some or all of the interest-based ads they receive from participating entities, if they so choose.
