Ddex continued to develop standard message formats for the communication of information up and down the Digital music value chain, publishing three new standards including the recording Data and rights notification, the party identification and enrichment, and the recording information notification and an update of the media enrichment and description. Ddex held two virtual plenary meetings in april and november with session held at different times to accommodate its members in both the eastern and western hemispheres. Ddex also held a virtual big summit which brought together leading thinkers in the industry to discuss the pressing issues associated with operations in the Digital music industry. Representatives regularly appearing at virtual conferences to discuss the broader issues associated with metadata management in the Digital music industry. Ddex continued to build relationships with other standards and trade organizations representing media types other than music and other organisations with an interest in ddex. These included the international confederation of music publishers (icmp), international standard name identifier (isni) and national independent venue association (niva). Ddex continued providing regular webinars to explain its standards to non-members.
