Program areas at Disability Planning Organization of Kansas
The Kansas department for aging and Disability services has contracted with Disability Planning Organization of Kansas (dpok) as the designated community developmental Disability Organization (cddo) for a nine-county service area; jewell, republic, mitchell, cloud, lincoln, ottawa, ellsworth, saline, and dickinson. A cddo is responsible for arranging for needed community services for individuals with qualifying intellectual or developmental disabilities who need services to live and function successfully in the community. Successful functioning is being able to participate in everyday living activities. The cddo performs initial eligibility, conducts annual funding category assessments, assists in the location services and monitors for service quality.
The Organization provides contracted services described above for eight cddos in Kansas. This includes tech, Inc. (reno county), futures unlimited, Inc. (sumner county), twin valley developmental services, Inc., nemaha county training center, Inc., brown county developmental services, Inc., achievement services for northeast Kansas, Inc., prairie ridge, Inc., and new beginnings, Inc.
The Organization provides contracted cddo services as described above for mcpherson county.
