Program services to promote the Rights of, and advocacy for, persons with disabilities. Other programs include: protection & advocacy of individual Rights (pair), protection & advocacy for traumatic brain injury (patbi), protection & advocacy for beneficiaries of social security (pabss), protection & advocacy for assistive technology (paat), protection & advocacy for voting access (pava),strengthening protections for social security beneficiaries (spssb), client assistance program (cap), work incentives planning and assistance (wipa), public health workforce (paph), state of California health and human services agency department of state hospitals (copr), state bar of California iolta, equal access, homelessness prevention (passthrough federal funding), and usaging.
The protection & advocacy for developmental disabilities (padd) grant, funded by the u.s. department of health and human services administration for community living, provides funding for drc's work to provide legal assistance and representation to individuals with intellectual / developmental disabilities.
The office of clients Rights advocacy (ocra), funded by the state of California health and human services agency, department of developmental services, provides legal information, advice, and representation to consumers of the 21 state regional centers.
The protection & advocacy for individuals with mental illness (paimi) grant, funded by the u.s. department of health and human services substance abuse and mental health services administration, provides funding for drc's work to provide legal assistance and representation to individuals with mental illness.
