Dispute Resolution Center of West Michigan fosters peaceful communities by developing communication skills, utilizing restorative practices and promoting healthy conflict resolution. They provide affordable mediation and training services, as well as restorative practices training, facilitation and consultation. In 2021, they successfully closed 880 cases and provided services to over 2,000 adults and children. Overall, they mediated, facilitated or conciliated 595 disputes with 80% resulting in full agreement, 3% partial agreement, and 17% no agreement.

In 2023, the Dispute Resolution Center of West Michigan (drcwm) facilitated approximately 555 disputes, with 79% reaching a complete agreement. The drcwm provided services to 2,500 community members, including 1,200 youth.the 2023 drcwm compliance study showed that agreements were fully complied with 96% of the time, partially complied with 3% of the time, and not complied with in less than 1% of cases. The case types included: 33% school-based, 33% domestic relations, 15% housing, 13% breach of contract, 2% restorative conferencing, and 4% miscellaneous.in 2023, the drcwm collaborated with grand valley state police academy to provide 30 hours of mediation and restorative practices training to law enforcement trainees. The drcwm also conducted onsite restorative practices training at one university and in one secondary school district, offered two 2-day restorative practices training sessions open to the public, and one 4-day training session.furthermore, in 2023, the drcwm partnered with two school districts to provide onsite conflict Resolution for students, administration, and staff.additionally, the drcwm waived $24,850 in fees for financially constrained clients and received twice as many housing referrals as in the previous year.
