Program areas at Distributed Wind Energy Association
Policy Support: Advocate and deal with policy and market matters that are affected or funded by the federal government, including the Congress and the Administration as well as any key state markets. These areas of interest include all types of federal incentives, barriers, research and development, federal distributed wind applications and markets, as well as addressing policy and market matters that are affected or funded by state governments.
Technical Support: DWEA established AgWind with a website and a free wind system performance and economics tool (which was in development in 2023)
Education/Educational Outreach: Educate the public and consumers on distributed wind energy. DWEA has maintained its website and developed other products to accomplish educational goals. DWEA participated in briefings for Congressional staff for education on technology and applications related to distributed wind energy. DWEA held an annual conference.
