Dog Lodge Sanctuary serves as a permanent residence for senior and special needs dogs who would otherwise have a bleak future. DLS strives to end the abuse of all companion animals, particularly in Texas, through education and outreach within the community. Since opening its doors in 2018, DLS has networked with various rescues and shelters to take in dogs and has helped re-home many from individuals. The sanctuary is located in Hempstead, TX.

Dog Lodge Sanctuary ("DLS") worked to provide a permanent home for senior and/or special needs dogs that otherwise might face a very bleak future but, in the right environment, can still lead a quality life. DLS provided our dogs with a safe, loving, healthy, and stable environment so they may know peace and dignity for the rest of their lives. The primary function of DLS was to rescue dogs that are considered "unadoptable" because of advanced age or because they have chronic illnesses or physical disabilities. DLS's mission is no longer sustainable and has ceased operations as of December 2024.
