Domestic Violence Solutions for Santa Barbara County strives to end the cycle of domestic violence through prevention and intervention services and by challenging societal attitudes and behaviors. The agency is dedicated to providing a safe harbor for all victims of domestic violence and their children throughout Santa Barbara County. It is the only organization in the county that offers emergency shelter and supportive services to survivors of domestic abuse, including women, men, and LGBT populations. They operate two shelters in Santa Barbara, CA.

'Domestic Violence Solutions is the only agency in Santa Barbara County, ca that provides emergency shelter and supportive services to all survivors of Domestic abuse and their children including women, men and lgbt populations. Two shelters are operated in the cities of Santa Barbara, Santa maria and lompoc. During fy21-22, our two shelters provided587 individuals (adults and children) with 45 day emergency shelter. 46 families were transitioned to safe housing. Our shelters also operate four crisis and information lines which answered 4,917 calls. Of those calls,521 were emergency calls from police, emergency rooms and medical offices. During this period dvs provided a total of 5,528 critically needed "safety bed nights" to those individuals and their children at severe risk and fleeing their homes due to Domestic Violence.
