Program areas at DHI
Education - the Institute provides technical training sessions several times a year. These courses prepare participants to sit for the architectural Hardware consultant, certified Door consultant, electrified Hardware consultant, dhia-dhi associate, dht Door Hardware technician, and dhc Door Hardware consultant exams administered by the Institute. These professional designations are recognized as marks of excellence throughout the industry. Dhi awards these credentials to individuals who have spent the required time in the industry and who have passed the certification exam.
Communications/services - the Institute provides members and non-members with various publications, including a monthly magazine and a membership directory. Other member services offered include both local chapters and chapter resources, and surveys designed to advance professionalism in the architectural openings industry, bimonthly communication industry watch, job board, technical literature, and educational webinars and seminars.
