Douglass Leadership Institute educates, equips, and empowers faith-based leaders to apply biblical principles in life and the marketplace through forums in local communities. Program areas at Douglass Leadership Institute

Amistad Project is a collaborative effort to educate residents of poor and minority neighborhoods about their rights and empower them with tools to ensure that their local, state, and federal elections are free from fraud and voter suppression. Several trainings were held teaching participants how to build relationships with key stakeholders in local governments. Continued the social media campaign to inrease awareness of individual rights and responsibilities. Developed election security scorecards and training materials.
Community Forums- These forums engage, educate, and empower community members with a variety of resources to help strengthen Black families and secure economic and educational opportunities for all. Held over 30 community forums in multiple states with more than 3000 participants. Provided the DLI Black Family Report that provides the history of Black American families and the values that keep them strong. Also educated attendees about certain concepts, programs, and lifestyle choices that are a threat to Black families.
Criminal Justice Reform- Georgia promotes sensible criminal justice reform in Georgia and throughout the country that reduces over-criminalization, supports local crime prevention efforts, and helps returning citizens with resources and access to opportunities in order to reduce recidivism rates. Held 8 Criminal Justice Reform panels and roundtables throughout Georgia to discuss the criminal justice issues and develop solutions to create reform in the system. Educated the public about the benefits of allowing non-violent returning citizens to regain their driver's licenses.
