Program areas at Down Syndrome Association of Delaware

Dsa de served over 580 individuals with Down Syndrome throughout the state of de and surrounding areas. With limited staffing and resources, we make a tremendous impact to the families that we serve. In 2023, we hosted over 50 events throughout the state with over 700 volunteers participating. Our new parent outreach efforts reached over 70 new families, with 22 new babies born in the state with Down Syndrome. We supported 83 individuals throughout adopt-a-family program and we awarded 5 scholarships to area families. Rock your socks awareness program reached over 80,000 individuals, in 18 states. Days of summer camp program served 109 campers with 129 volunteers. Our icanbike camp gave the gift of independence to 15 individuals. Our social engagement events attracted over 300 individuals.
