Program areas at Downtown Bible Class
Weekly gathering at Portland Art Museum for lunch where Pastor Gilchrist teaches from the Bible. Lunch and beverages are provided at no cost to the attendees. We also broadcast pastor Gilchrist's 1/2 hour message on the radio aired on stations in Oregon and Africa. Messages can also be listened to at downtownbible.org.
Equip pastors to become authentic Christ-centered men filled with the word of God, being godly examples and expounding in the word clearly and accurately. We challenge pastors to study the book of Romans by reading it 20 times and copying it out by hand in a notebook. Upon completion, they receive a Mp3 player that contains over 100 messages from the Bible to encourage pastors to continue this method of reading, writing and listening when preparing their sermons. Thousands of pastors have benefited from this challenge
