Program areas at Dress for Success Twin Cities

Empoweru is our employment readiness and career advancement training program for unemployed and underemployed women. Through classes and coaching, empoweru participants acquire the skills, behaviors, and growth mindset needed to gain and maintain family-sustaining employment. Empoweru supports women in overcoming barriers to meaningful employment and exploring pathways to career options that suit their skills and interests.
Career center: the career center offers individualized services and resources that are vital for women entering the workforce or advancing in her career. Confidence coaches are available by appointment to serve our clients on a one-to-one basis to help them create superior resumes and cover letters, provide career counseling, job search strategies, conduct mock interviews, as well as assist with access to our computer-based professional skills training courses. By offering the resources and support needed to build her professional skills, we give our clients a competitive edge when searching for new employment or vying for a promotion.
Business attire: the business attire program provides a client with confidence kits that are customized based on personal preference and sizing, includes clothing, accessories, and hygiene products so a woman can interview or begin work confidently. These kits are delivered to our clients to reduce the barrier of transportation.
