Program areas at Drive to Work
Assist low-income and previously incarcerated individuals to restore driving privileges through reinstatement of licenses or obtaining restricted driving permits. Since its organization in 2007 through December 31, 2022, Drive to Work has received more than 9,400 applications for services, assisted over 2,350 clients, and restored driving privileges for more than 860 persons.
Provide seminars on How to Get Your License Back to pre-release offenders at the Virginia Department of Corrections. Since starting this program in 2014, more than 150 seminars have been presented, attended by over 2,900 offenders through December 31, 2022.
Provide driver improvement clinic meeting the requirements of Virginia DMV. Courses are offered in the classroom and online. Over 610 students have completed this course since its inception in 2016. More than 500 students took the 3xFail course online since the course began in Nov. 2021.
