Program areas at Drums in Recovery

Grant awarded from the orange county government citizens' commission for children to provide small scale citizens' review panel life skills training for youth in support of the oak ridge neighborhood center for families. Across four different facilities, over 530 children were served through 86 sessions of the drumbeat program. Of those children, 237 were new to the program. 16 graduations were held which showcased the skills and virtues learned by those students. . This rehabilitation program, called drumbeat, is a ten-week music and wellness course utilizing hand-drumming.
