Duluth Library Foundation

The Duluth Library Foundation supports the Duluth public Library through charitable gifts and community engagement in order to enhance its ability to foster a love of learning, community enrichment, and economic opportunities in a welcoming environment. Financial support assists the Library in addressing the emerging needs of the community and maintaining core Library services. The Foundation engages with Library supporters, community leaders, and other community partners to build partnerships and support for the Library that will benefit staff and patrons. Investments from Library supporters fill funding gaps for the Library and allow investment in initiatives that would otherwise go unfunded. $99,837.16 was gifted to the Duluth public Library for current Library needs ranging from youth programing, digital services, every child ready Duluth program evaluation, Library public relations, staff development and other needs. $6,000 was gifted to Duluth public schools on behalf of the every child ready Duluth initiative for an early childhood playground at Washington square.$150,000 was gifted to the city of Duluth for community engagement and pre-design services to address the capital needs of the downtown main Library.
